Transitional Remodel - Kitchen and Dining

After

Before

When remodeling this kitchen, we wanted to open it up and give it a fresh look without changing the overall layout of the space. One way we opened it up was by removing the upper cabinets from the sink wall and bringing the tile all the way to the ceiling. We then brought the cabinets in the rest of the kitchen to the ceiling because of the lost storage. This causes your eye to move all the way to the ceiling and makes the room feel larger and more spacious.

We went with this beautiful quartzite for the countertops that has incredible movement while also bringing out the colors used in the kitchen and softening the space.

One of my favorite moments in this kitchen is the coffee bar. It is the first thing you see when you walk in the kitchen door and immediately makes a statement. We even installed lights underneath the countertop here to create an extra element of moodiness at night.

In the dining room, we wanted to continue the romantic feel while also keeping the space more formal. This beautiful black and white tile was the perfect solution. It’s such a timeless look and embodies that romantic yet formal feel.
