Multipurpose Room Kitchen Remodel
This project took place in a commercial space where the goal was to take three small rooms and create one large open space. This would allow the client to use the room for multiple purposes. We were also conscious of the fact that people of all age groups would use the room, so we wanted to create a space that felt modern and open but that would also stand the test of time.
Since we knew we were going to go with concrete floors and white walls, we decided to do maple cabinets, which added some warmth and texture as well as a focal point to the space.
We also added open shelves which gave us the opportunity for some decor pieces to bring in a little bit of a coffee shop vibe that the client requested. Since the ceiling wasn’t particularly high, we were still able to create movement in the space with the open shelves, causing the eye to move horizontally across the kitchen.
It is absolutely amazing to see how different this space is now! I am so thankful I had the chance to be a part of this project, and I can’t wait to see how it is used and the people it will bring together.
